The RSPCA WA had an extensive list of requirements for the upgrade of their old Joomla site. In addition, the previous site was outdated and had been targeted by hackers. Joomstore was approached to build a new responsive site, migrate content and add some new functionality.
The new site was designed to be responsive and utilise a lot of white space. Of importance was the use of animals in the header of internal pages with quotes or phrases designed to evoke responses appropriate to the goal of the page.
Each page load is slightly different with a variety of animals appearing in different locations around the page. There's a budgie that can sometimes be seen perched on the top of modules, a bunny and giraffe stick their heads in from various locations and occasionally you might see a strategically placed goat.
The new site is built in Joomla 3. A large portion of the development was focussed around the new donations functionality. Using the Eway payment gateway, we desinged and coded a form which allows users to make a donation or even set up recurring monthly donations from a single screen.
THE RSPCAWA now has a site that looks tremendous and works on mobile devices. Importantly, dog training bookings and donations have increases dramatically as a result of the new functionality. Check it out.
