Because your online presence is critical to your offline success

Joomstore is a digital studio based in Perth. We’ve been designing and building websites since 1995. While many web developers have come and gone we have gone from strength to strength.

Scroll down and you will see why.

A truly successful online presence involves more than just a website

A quality website is crucial to establish credibility and authority in the minds of your visitors. But true market reach can only be obtained through a holistic approach to online marketing that involves killer Facebook pages, slick mobile apps, precise SEO / SEM and a purposeful social media strategy.

Working with Government and local business.

When the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development contracted Joomstore to manage their web presence, social media strategy and ongoing SEO for the Education and Training International website we were excited about the potential. And rightly so. Working closely with staff at ETI we’ve increased traffic and conversions by over 100% in 12 months.

Web and Mobile Applications

Having the right tools and implementation can mean the difference between winning and losing deals. Like when a Mining Operations Manager needs to quickly determine the correct tyres to order for their $1million Underground Dump Truck. Sifting through hundreds of products in online catalogues just doesn't cut it.

Situations like this call for custom web applications. Magna Tyres chose us to build their website and Tyre Selection app and the response has been overwhelming.

We've built all sorts of applications from recipe catalogues to tourist directories to databases that manage hundreds of employee CVs. Do you have big ideas? Let us know.

Your website. Your content. We help you take control.

Joomla! CMS

is an award winning open source Content Management System. It's also very popular - hundreds of thousands of websites run on Joomla.

As many DIYers have found, it's easy to start a simple website with Joomla. In the hands of professional developers - like Joomstore - it really delivers value.

When we built the website for The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation, Joomla was a natural choice. They use Joomla to publish latest news and info. Also an online events calendar / booking reservation system with e-commerce, an online shop / shopping cart, interactive maps, e-newsletters and a comprehensive web business directory.

It just doesn't get any better.

Search Engine Optimisation and Online Marketing that truly works

Just imagine what would happen in your business if your website traffic was increased by 121%. When that increase in traffic is multiplied by an increase in conversions, things really start to get interesting.

The results published here are not uncommon for our 12 month SEO/SEM programs. In fact, our process is so precise it’s almost the norm.

Of course, we can't discuss specific sites, stats and methods here due to confidentiality. If you want to see some actual case studies and live examples, please give us a call.

Joomla Extensions. The good, the bad and the downright dangerous

Sunday, 21 April 2013 16:00

Joomla takes no responsibility for the quality of extension listed on the JED. It's up to you to do your homework.

One of the reasons for the success behind Joomla and Wordpress is they give website owners the ability to extend a website with Extensions. The Joomla Extension Directory (at the time of writing) contains 6,238 extensions. An incredible number of bolt-on features and functionality. However, it can be difficult to sort the good from the bad.

Which is better: Joomla! or Wordpress?

Wednesday, 17 April 2013 01:41

Wordpress or Joomla?

Actually, neither. Wordpress and Joomla are the most popular open source CMS packages at the moment. But the thing that really makes the difference is the web designer / developer, not the CMS.

E-commerce is rarely "simple"

Tuesday, 26 February 2013 07:10

E-commerce is rarely

A few days ago, we received an enquiry from a potential client asking for a "simple" e-commerce site. It reminded me of a previous project which started out as a simple site but ended up being one of the biggest sites we've ever built.

Meet Noah Greenstone

Noah went to university at the prestigious CalArts north of Los Angeles and began building websites in 1993 while working with Virgin Japan and running an independent record label in Osaka.

In 2000 he built the first integrated online procurement portal for the US motion picture & TV industry and then started Los Angeles Web Designs, providing marketing and online services to small, medium and large firms across the US.

After relocating to Australia with his young family in 2003, Noah worked as Production Manager for several marketing and design agencies in the Perth area before forming Joomstore with John Pitchers in 2009.

Noah is an SEO specialist and handles all facets of Joomstore Project Management plus the creation and implementation of custom documentation & training, as well as client services, interaction and delivery.

Meet John Pitchers

John started his career working for the State Government of Western Australia where he was introduced to coding applications in Visual Basic and other Microsoft technologies.

What started as an after hours hobby, designing websites, soon started to attract paying clients and John eventually had to make the choice between his day job and his growing business.

John started Viperfish Media as a freelance developer in 2003, and soon started to specialise in building websites using the Joomla CMS - then known as Mambo.

In 2009, John joined forces with Noah Greenstone and formed Joomstore.

John's key professional areas are PHP development, Joomla, Javascript, CSS and graphic design.
