The Social Media Revolution and why you should care

People don't care about your advertising but they do care about what their friends think.

I came across this video (by Socialnomics) tonight and loved the punchy use of statistics.

Customers no longer consume news and media solely in the traditional formats of TV and newspapers like they used to. The constant bombardment of advertising has caused us all to become selectively blind to anything that resembles an ad. If you want to advertise and promote your products you need to get people talking about them. People don't care about your advertising but they do care about what their friends think.

The profound thing to understand is this video is 2 years old. The train is leaving the station with or without you. Do you need help getting on it? It's what we do at Joomstore.
